Aditya Kumar is a junior at Clarksburg High School. He created this organization to spread law literacy better, especially due to the lack of matters related to law in Montgomery County. Outside of Youth Legal Journal, he takes part in Asian-American advocacy, playing badminton, and he loves listening to music. Aditya is so excited to work with the board this year.
Hannah is a junior at Clarksburg High School. She believes that law literacy is a necessary skill for citizens of all ages, and joined this organization to spread more awareness about prevalent legal issues. Outside of Youth Legal Journal, Hannah loves to read, play music, bake, and learn.
Jasheen Kaur is a senior at Clarksburg High School. Jasheen joined this organization to help minimize political polarization within her generation and educate the youth on legal subjects that matter. Aside from this Jasheen is highly involved with the Montgomery County Council and takes a specialty within local laws.
Amelia is a junior in the Humanities program at Poolesville High School. She aspires to be a defense attorney in the future, and hopes to study political science in college. Amelia looks forward to making an impact as a Press Editor this year.
Lauren is a junior in the Humanities program at Poolesville High School. She hopes to one day work in public interest law. Lauren is excited to be a part of the Youth Legal Journal team.
Ahana is a freshman at Montgomery Blair High School. She enjoys playing tennis, listening to music, and writing. She is excited to work with Youth Legal Journal.
Anvitha is a sophomore at Linganore High School. She loves to dance and spend time with her friends. She is looking forward to being a part of Youth Legal Journal!
Sarea Tripathi is a freshman at Poolesville High School. She has been involved in advocacy since a young age and discovered a strong passion for it. She is very excited to be a part of YLJ this year and she can’t wait to learn and make memories with the team!
Aarush Choudhary is a junior at Clarksburg High School. He joined this organization to help educate people in his community about court cases and policies that may impact them. He enjoys playing sports, video games, and loves to listen to music!
Fadekemi Laniyonu has a passion for writing and spreading awareness of legal issues in her community. When she’s not busy writing an article, she can be found reading or baking brown sugar cookies.
Rachel Lee is a junior at Fairfax High School, in Los Angeles California. Rachel is apart of Youth Legal Journal because wants to pursue law and advocate for people in need. Being apart of many student organizations, her goal is to educate the students of her generation so everyone can achieve greater things. Rachel loves to sing, play guitar, debate, and learn new things!
